Important Information

A lot of care and love goes into hand rearing your bird and we take our responsibilities seriously; we carefully plan out the regular feeding required along with our other commitments while considering what is best for the birds. We make sure we fit in a mix of handling, play and flight time making sure all our birds aren’t just hand fed but are also well handled the kids even help us sometimes too! They are raised in our busy family home along with the usual sounds and activities. We consider the safety of the bird at all times i.e. keeping doors closed, blinds shut and making sure cookers aren’t on etc. You can read more on this in our section, care of your bird

· 20% non-refundable deposit is required to book your bird and the remaining 80% is payable on collection of your feathered friend.

· We will provide updates on all our birds as they grow on our page and contact you to advise when your bird is eating by itself and ready to collect, should the bird not be collected within 1 week of it being ready, there is a small fee for keeping and feeding your bird after this point of £5 per week until the bird is collected.

· It is advisable to bring a carry case with you which would also come in handy should you need to travel with your bird, to the vets for example. We usually have boxes in the event you do not have a carry box.

· We can also provide starter packs

· All our birds are spilt rung with our initials and year of hatch unless you specifically ask us not to.

· We do not DNA hand reared birds as we do not feel it is necessary for non-breeding pets, you may do this yourself later if you wish, however some species can be easily sexed visually and will of course advise the sex if we can.

· None of our birds have their wings clipped; we don’t believe it is necessary or ethicical
